Arthritis

Arthritis is the inflammation of one or more joints.  It is characterized by pain and stiffness (especially in the morning or after exercise), swelling, deformity, and /or a diminished range of motion.  Bone growths or spurs may develop in the affected joints, increasing pain and decreasing mobility.

Cause:  Arthritis is caused by acids and waste matter in the body, which eventually become solidified and lock the joint.  This condition is caused and aggravated by improper diet.  The worst intakes are red meat, refined sugars, milk, extremely hard water (generally of twelve or more grains in hardness) and refined foods.

Red meat produces the largest amount of uric acid in the system.  When the body’s PH is too acidic the body has to get rid of the acids and so they crystallize and deposit in the joints, etc.

Refined sugar causes inflammation of all the epithelial cells throughout the body.  All your organs have epithelial cells covering them.

In my study, and first hand experience, one of the most powerful aids to overcoming arthritis has to be apple cider vinegar(from a health food store with the “mother” in it).

In Paul Bragg’s book, Apple Cider Vinegar, he suggests: “Upon arising, an hour before lunch and dinner have your delicious ACV cocktail as follows: Stir 6 ounces distilled water with 1 to 2 tsp. equally of ACV and raw honey (diabetics, don’t use honey).  Also add ACV to your salds and steamed greens.

Be faithful to The Bragg Healthy Lifestyle and your 24 hour fasts.[Fast on distilled water one day a week for 24 hours]  Eat 60% to 70% healthy, raw foods (organic is best) and drink 8 glasses daily of pure distilled water (chemical and inorganic mineral free). Take your multi-vitamin-mineral and glucosamine sulfate supplements, plus kelp and alfalfa tablets and 1 to 2 tsps. of cod liver oil every day.  The improvements will amaze you!  Remember to enjoy 1 to 2 organic apples a day for they help keep the doctor away!”

My husband, about 5 years ago, started waking up with such a terrible pain in his feet that he couldn’t walk in the morning.  He would get out of bed and have to walk on his knees to get to the bathroom because it was so painful!  We figured out that he had bone spurs which is a form of arthritis.  I had him go totally on distilled water and he took apple cider vinegar 3 times a day and his feet completely healed in 2 weeks, and the problem has never returned.

Why does ACV work?  Have you ever cleaned your windows with vinegar?  It dissolves the hard water deposits.  It does the same in your body.  It also restores your PH to alkaline instead of an acid base.

A  good friend of mine, Eric, who has taught me a lot about herbs through the years, suggests that taking:

  • glucosamine, chondroitin and msm (this combination can be purchased at a health food store or Sam’s Club)

  • cod liver oil

Take 2 to 3 tabs per day of the combination and of the oil.  The glucosamine and chondroitin and msm repair the cartilage and reduce inflammation.  The cod liver oil helps reduce the inflammation/deterioration of the joints and lubricates them.
