There Is Just One Disease – And You Have It. Toxemia.

Toxemia: Poisoning either as a result of undue retention of body waste or of the end products of metabolism or digestion, creating an overacid condition.

J.H. Tilden, MD has written a book, Toxemia Explained wherein he states,”According to the Toxin Philosophy, every so-called disease is a crisis of Toxemia; which means that toxin has accumulated in the blood above the toleration point, and the crisis, the so-called disease-call it cold, “flu,” pneumonia, headache, or typhoid fever-is a vicarious elimination.

Nature is endeavoring to rid the body of toxin. Any treatment [drug] that obstructs this effort at elimination baffles nature in her effort at self-curing.”

“The chain of symptoms range from cold or catarrh to Bright’s disease, tuberculosis, cancer, syphillis, ataxia, and other so-called diseases; all, from beginning to end, symptoms of the cumulative effects of crises of Toxemia.”

Max Gerson, M.D. in his book, A Cancer Therapy,(now called, The Gerson Therapy) states that the specialization of research and medical practice may be an outgrowth of the microbe theory of disease. Some call it the “germ theory”.  The idea is a germ comes around, you catch it and then you become ill.  The converse is that your body becomes toxic and your organs are damaged to one degree or another and the whole illness is a manifestation of the condition of your body.

Dr. Gerson goes on to explain,” cancer is not specific.  It is a degenerative condition of the total metabolism, including damage to the liver and all essential organs, which then makes it possible for cancer to develop.  Similar damage also precedes other chronic diseases.”

“All degenerative diseases, such as mental diseases, arthritis, hardening of the arteries, heart (coronary) diseases…. all show liver damage.”  He points out that “the beginning of all chronic disease is the loss of Potassium (K) from the cells and invasion of Sodium (Na) into the cells-and with it water. “

This causes edema and the resulting malfunctions-loss of electrical potentials in the cells, improper enzyme formation, reduced cell oxidation, etc.  ……..The building of almost all enzymes requires K(potassium) as a catalyst (activating agent) and is inhibited (slowed or stopped) by Na(sodium).  The extent of these malfunctions then determines how and to what extent the system is affected and where the symptoms will occur.”

“In order to initiate healing , it is essential to remove excess Na from the cells, re-introduce large amounts of K, and detoxify the system of accumulated intermediary substances and other toxins.  This is best accomplished by large amounts of K from fresh fruit and juices, detoxification through the kidneys and by enemas, and reactivation of the liver by special liver therapy. “

If this were only a theoretical assumption, it would not be worth mentioning.  However in Dr. Gerson’s many years of experience with all types of chronic disease, this process worked in practice. Degenerative diseases could be reversed, eliminated , and the body healed.

C. Samuel West, D.N., N.C. , in his book, “The Golden Seven Plus One” explains that all the tissues and organs of the body are made up of cells.  In order to have any type of disease of any kind we have to damage the cells.  He points out that every cell generates “an electrical field”.

It is an actual “electrical generator.”  The thought wave is electrical.  The energy coming from the eyes is electrical.  In essence, the human body is an electrical being, and our health, strength and endurance depend upon the energy currents that run through the body.

To keep the “electric generators” going, Dr West says, (1) the cells must have oxygen to convert glucose into energy, and (2) the potassium (K+) inside the cells must remain high and sodium (Na+) inside the cells must remain low.

If too much water gets on a crop, it will damage or kill the crop.  The same thing hold true with the cells.  Anything that will produce excess fluid and excess sodium around the cells will cause them to “drown” from lack of oxygen and will upset the delicate sodium-potassium balance in and around the cells.”

To have healthy cells we need a “dry” state where there is no excess fluid around the cells, only enough fluid to fill the crevices around the cells, and that is all.

Even under normal conditions, the normal pressure in the blood stream causes the blood proteins to continually seep through the pores of the blood capillaries into the spaces around the cells.

There is not enough pressure in these spaces to push the blood proteins back through the tiny pores of the blood capillaries. Therefore, the lymph system must continually remove blood proteins and return them to the blood steam.

If the lymph system completely fails to function and the blood proteins get trapped throughout the body, they will produce the conditions that cause deathwithin twenty-four hours. and trapped blood proteins can cause death in just a few hours.

He goes on to say how we can learn to untrap blood proteins by keeping them cirulating in the body via the lymhatic system by”Lymphasizing” and by eating correctly and thinking correctly so we won’t trap blood proteins in the first place.

He is a huge advocate of using a well constructed MINI-TRAMPOLINE. (I notice a huge difference using mine.) He says we must learn the techniques of the physical, mental and nutritional laws that are necessary to keep the blood proteins circulating.

A medical doctor is trained in a pharmaseutical college that teaches him how to treat symptoms of an illness.  A wholeistic health practicianer is trained to look at  the cause of illness;

Toxemia- And you have it.
